Fee was the original label for Float On by the Floaters, which was a huge American smash in 1977 or so. They are still gigging around.

I think Fee was owned by Woody Wilson. They released lots of records through the '70s and into the early '80s. I don't have a discography, but here are a few that haven't been mentioned:
302 Jimmy McKee Get Back on Down Pt. 1/Pt.2
302 L.C. Luckett Who Made the Mountain/?
70304 Leo Lyons Set Me up Baby/same
311 Floaters Take One Step at a Time/I'm So Glad I Took My Time
361 Flaming Emeralds Have Some Everybody/Instro
101 Carol Anderson Sad Girl/I'll Get off at the Next Stop
002 Volstarr Either Way/?
003 Darlene Winter Love High Pt. 1/Pt.2
0004 A.D.C. Band That's Life/Long Stroke
1869 Percy and Them All Day and Night/? (assume this is the same label, but haven't seen it)
2080 For Your Love/Glass House
2661 Floaters Get Ready/For Your Love
I'm sure there are loads more 45s, and I know there's at least one Floaters LP, too.

I have the Carol Anderson 45...I got it initially because of the names James Dean and John Glover.
Keith Rylatt had earlier introduced me to her 45 on Whip.....

I bought it too! It must have been a new release when they played it at the Highland Room.
I also have listed:
Fee - 2081 - Flaming Emaralds - We Are/?
Fee - ???? - Jimmy Scott - If I Lose Your Love/Don't Go
The Darlene Love song sounds like Donna Summer!

In my previous note, I failed to credit Fee 2080 to the Floaters. Also, ran across another one today:
001 Beverly and Duane We Got to Stick Together/Glad I Gotcha Babe
This was released nationally on Ariola and peaked at #79 on the R&B charts in 1978.

I must've missed this one - wonder if
Jimmy McKee is related to Lonette ?

Hmm, never thought of the possible link between Lonette and Jimmy McKee. By the way, there are two different mixes of Jimmy Mckee--one on a blue Fee label with handclaps, one on a red (but otherwise identical) Fee label with no handclaps.

Hi Everyone. Re Fee Records. There is an excellent article on the label etc in the current issue of Manifesto magazine by Steve Guarnori. Keith
