prior to 1974-the fantastic four recorded on
the ric -tick label. They had 7 hit singles,
but i am unable to find any of their albums. Can
anyone share some light?.

The Ric-Tic label only put out one album, by The San Remo Golden Strings following the success of "Hungry For Love."
The Soul label album that Motown released is the Fantastic Four's Ric-Tic material though.

The aptly named F4 had no album releases on Ric-Tic.

Much of their Ric-Tic material WAS released on an album, by Motown, after the buy-out.

I love that album.

They had five albums - the first on Soul "Best
of the Fantastic Four" was a repackage of RicTic
material - it was available on CD but I think it's
now deleted. A Fantastic Four "Essential Collection" of all their RicTic tracks would be
very welcome as the original album left off many
tracks which were only on 45.

They had four albums with their next label,
Westbound, which are available in the UK as
two cds each comprising two of the original labels.

Then there's the unissued Motown "How Sweet He Is"
set which I'd love to see isssued - the Fantastic
Four were one of Detroit's finest groups and the
death of James Epps was a huge loss to anybody
who appreciated one of soul's best groups.
